Deep Tissue Massage

60 minutes: $80

Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don't get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session.

60 minutes: $80

Reflexology is a type of bodywork that focuses on applying pressure to the specific nerve zones in your feet. Unlike other foot massages that intend to mostly relieve tension in the feet themselves, reflexology is a far more in-depth science that aims to harmonize your entire body. According to reflexology, every part of the human body is mapped into your feet and/or hands. Reflexology treatments have been found to be highly effective for conditions such as allergies, headaches, and depression.

Chair Massage

20 minutes: $30

Chair massage is a popular way of relieving stress and releasing tension right in your home or workplace. You receive your massage in a specialized ergonomic chair. In addition to the usual health benefits of massage, another benefit of chair massage is that it is done over the clothing. With seated massage, you can avoid the discomfort and awkwardness that you may feel in disrobing for a traditional massage. Also, chair massage sessions are usually shorter than traditional massage, making it convenient enough to fit into your busy schedule.

Chair massages are a perfect getaway right in the middle of your day! Need a lunch break pick-me-up? Call to schedule one today!

Cupping

60 minutes: $80
90 minutes: $120

Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine in which a therapist puts special cups on your skin for a few minutes to create suction. People get it for many purposes, including to help with pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation and well-being, and as a type of deep-tissue massage.

Suction cups are used to pull blood to the surface of the skin, which is thought to improve circulation and promote healing. In addition, the suction releases tight connective tissue that surrounds muscle tissue. Cupping therapy helps relieve aching muscles, releases joint stiffness, and may reduce inflammation for a variety of acute and chronic conditions.

During your session, a therapist will position a suction cup over specific treatment areas, producing a vacuum effect that helps improve overall circulation. Lie back, take a deep breath and enjoy the feeling of deep relaxation as it spreads throughout your entire body.

At this time, Evergreen Massage Therapy uses only silicone cups for a short amount of time. Cupping at EMT is usually incorporated with Swedish and/or Deep Tissue Massage.

The use of cupping in massage can be especially effective. When you think about it, cupping is essentially the opposite of a massage. Instead of pushing down on the skin, it pulls up.

But like massage, cupping can reach down beyond the skin and into your muscles, loosening them and promoting faster healing. So when used together, they make an incredibly powerful duo.

If you do decide to combine cupping with a massage, your massage therapist will begin with the cupping portion of your treatment. The cups will loosen your muscles and fascia, allowing the massage to penetrate deeper into your muscles. And the increased blood flow from the double treatment will help muscles repair and recover more quickly.

Want to incorporate cupping into your massage session? Just inform the therapist prior to the appointment.
